New Site: Announcements appearing in full briefly when clicking on a post

When clicking on a post I am finding the two announcements at the top of the page ("Welcome to your NEW Basschat!" etc.) are displaying in full then immediately collapsing to truncated (presumably as the javascript loads & runs). It's really annoying!

It's on both PC and iPad, so not a platform thing.

It's odd as the announcement appears to load in full and then be truncated in-situ after the page has loaded.

Is this a possible contribution to causing the site to load agonisingly slowly?

Yeah think it’s just because it’s a bit slow currently. Give us a day or two to train our hamsters properly. Announcements will disappear after a week or two anyway, we won’t have hem often.

I can see those full announcements too, but the site is speeding along for me - quick loading.  Maybe i'm blessed

I can load 5 pages on other forums in the time it takes to load one on here
