I certainly DID read the notification about backing up PM's because all messages will be lost. That's why I have, you know, backed up my PM's before the switch over date. BassChat did it's best to let everyone know. I managed to get the message ok and I was under piles and piles of vomit these last couple of weeks.

I'd like to just say thanks for all of the efforts in improving site. Having worked on system upgrades for the last 20 years I know how difficult they can be and the problems faced.

Hopefully the majority of users won't be impacted by the lost pm's and can appreciate the benefits of the new features.

Yeah, fantastic work guys.  People don't realize how phenomenally difficult this stuff is to do and how no matter how well you plan, unforeseen stuff can hit you out of nowhere.

Ped and team, you have done a great job. I have undergone other fora migrations in the past and this has been as smooth (and actually beneficial) as any. You tried to warn people but ultimately they have to take responsibility! Lead a horse to water...

Just to echo other's comments, a great job on Basschat TNG.  Just need to fix the cigarette lighter.

I have a question though, that I can't see asked anywhere else - what's Watts?  How do I have some?  How does it work?  Are they tube, s/s or Class D?

Surely the pertinent bits are dates and times, indexed links to the users involved, content - there was no way to massage this into the new format? 

Just doesn't, on the face of it, seem very difficult. Would love to know the technical bits if you have any time to explain.

The formatting is different and especially the security settings are laid out differently I found that whenever I tried it I was never 100% confident that only the people involved in those messages would be able to see them which posed a rather large security risk.

Like everything new it takes a little while to get used to and get your preferences set right but it does seem to be a very worthwhile upgrade and genuinely better than the old software.

Knowing how long such things take it’s a big thanks from me for all the hard work by everyone involved.

Is it possible to receive a notification when a new post is created and the title contains a keyword I have chosen ?

For example, I would like to receive an email each time a new sale pops up for a "Fodera" or "Modulus" etc...

Not as far as I know.

You might be able to create an activity stream but I'm not really a user of them tbh so not the guy to ask
