Mykesbass
Didn't Wilko Johnson make his album thinking his time was up? Nice twist in the tale for him, surviving to enjoy the success!
roceci
Song rather than album - Funkin' for Fun, Parliament. Glenn Goins lead vocal, terminally ill young man singing his last hurrah. Tragic. Cheery thread btw!

darkandrew
"Innuendo" by Queen - the last album that they completed while Freddie was still alive, with the incredibly poignant "The show must go on" and "These are the days of our lives". I just love the words and sentiments of both of these songs but listening to "These are the days of our lives", and especially watching the promo video for it, always brings tears to my eyes. That final shot of Freddie where he breaks into a smile, looks straight at the camera and whispers "I still love you" - what a way to say goodbye. spongebob
The Holy Bible - Manic Street Preachers. Lyrically, one of my favourite collections of songs ever put together. An exemplary diagnosis of the human form in its many guises. Richey Edwards went missing not long after....this, for me, has always been 'his' album.
