T-Bay
I think it would be hilarious to turn up to a death metal night with one of those and just put it on a stand on the stage while you set up.

There was a BC member who gigged with one of these, posted the pics to prove it. Can't quite remember who, was a few years back. alyctes
Yeah. Especially if it sounds monstrous. The only reason I haven't got one is the neck dive.
SPHDS
Wasn't a DaisyRock.......but did once see a heavy metal band who's bassist was using a Hofner Violin Bass!
Bassassin
Saw Norwegian black metallists Enslaved the other night, supporting Opeth - their bassist/frontman was playing an EB-3! Any other examples of incongruous basses in extreme metal contexts?

Only I‘ve got a project coming up (no joke) that it‘d be ideal for.

ribbetingfrog
Someone brought one to the north west bass bash. the shape means you can rest your arm on the petal and it’s surprisingly comfy to play. his had a Duncan Designed p bass pickup and sounded pretty damn good. i’m not Manly enough to pull the look off but I really want one! Courtney Love had a hand in designing the guitar version so it’s got some rock credibility at least.
