jezzaboy Posted November 18, 2017 Posted November 18, 2017 (edited) Just a few weeks after brother George passed away, Malcolm has died after suffering from dementia for a number of years. It is a horrible condition that has affected so many family`s, including my own. Thanks for all the great music. Rest in peace. Edited November 18, 2017 by Burrito Quote

ezbass Posted November 18, 2017 Posted November 18, 2017 The poor man hadn’t been at all well and I fancy that not being able to play with AC/DC any more took an additional toll Quote
stingrayPete1977 Posted November 18, 2017 Posted November 18, 2017 Possibly a blessing in disguise but still sad, still bringing joy to lots of people though Quote
paul_5 Posted November 18, 2017 Posted November 18, 2017 So sad to hear this. Malcolm was one of the most solid rhythm players ever, so much so that I reckon he'd have made a brilliant bassist. Quote
PawelG Posted November 18, 2017 Posted November 18, 2017 My all time favourite guitarist. Very sad. Quote
skankdelvar Posted November 18, 2017 Posted November 18, 2017 Songwriter, guitarist and a band-leader in both the sense of dynamics and musical direction. Though overlooked by critics and record-buyers, Malcolm Young exerted a force upon rock music that cannot be underestimated. How cruel that his life ended so early and under such sad circumstances. Let us remember him in happier times - a bit more of him in this vid than usual. 1 Quote
Hellzero Posted November 18, 2017 Posted November 18, 2017 Just like George, the older brother who passed away last month. You certainly remember "Friday on my Mind" by the Easybeats and maybe Flash and the Pan with this fantastic album named "Lights in the Night"... That was George with Harry Vanda. Quote
Black Coffee Posted November 18, 2017 Posted November 18, 2017 One of the best rhythm guitarists imho RIP Quote
SH73 Posted November 18, 2017 Posted November 18, 2017 Malcolm Young! What a legend. Simple but yet so powerful guitar riffs. He will be missed! Quote
