ivansc Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 too many recent players for me - 12/15 but I did get that sonic youth one! (much to my surprise) Was undecided between Ray Brown and Mingus though.... thats the problem with black and white pics.... Quote
Hobbayne Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 100% too. I got a bit caught out by Charles Mingus. I have never heard any of his stuff. Kim Gordon also caught me out. I knew Tina Weymoth played a short scale Fender, and did not have huge, hairy arms so that was a bit of a giveaway! Quote
ezbass Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 86% I’m not sure if I need to get out or stay in more. Quote

T-Bay Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Another 60% here but I have to admit I have never been one to particularly follow people in bands I don’t listen to so thought that was an ok score for me. Quote
Bigwan Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 100%... Had to guess the thunderbird one though... Quote
spongebob Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 I got Kim Gordon by her posture. She played a lot of basses over the years.... although I do always kind of associate her with the T'bird mainly. Quote

Cato Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 14/15 To be fair I guessed the double bassist and I wouldn't have got Tina Weymouth if I hadn't already read the answer on here. I might not have got Steve Harris just by that particular bass, but his stance is a dead give away. Quote
Lozz196 Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 93%, Kim Gordon let me down - or rather, I let her down. Quote
ahpook Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 One wrong - I don't know my Haden from my Mingus. All the rest were pretty straightforward. Quote
AndyTravis Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 All right apart put the wrong Kim for sonic youth... Quote
bassbiscuits Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 14/15 for me - confused my Kim Deal and my Kim Gordon. And never heard of Thundercat! Good quiz tho. Quote

Hard to miss the heavy metal/rock legends then guess by skin colour and overly road relic bass. I'd be fuming if Mr Steve Harris was not on list. Quote
Ghost_Bass Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 13/15, had a lucky guess on the DB player but completely missed the Tina Weymouth (don't know her, never heard her name before). I got myself second guessing the Jack Bruce (it was my first reply) and in the last second changed wrongly for JPJ, don't know why... Quote
Donnyboy Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 86%... 13 out of 15.. this included some guesswork. .although it's would've been hard not to get Lemmy or John Entwistle etc. Quote
JellyKnees Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 10/15... I didn't know any of the rock players apart from Entwistle so had to guess at those... Quote
ead Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 Cheeky 86%, but one was a very lucky guess. Quote
ben4343 Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 (edited) 2 wrong; Entwistle and Bootsy, which I guess means I got pretty lucky with the rest... Off to try the guitars now! Edit: 10/15, but I think there were only about 5 I was confident with... Edited November 20, 2017 by ben4343 Update Quote
