lowregisterhead
Just tried to go to the D Lakin website, but it appears to have gone. I did see a post on the Lakland group on Facebook purporting to be from Dan, asking for submissions of photos of 1994-2010 (pre-Hanson) basses for a forthcoming book, but the email has a URL that is a tyre reycling company's website (lakincorp.com). Family connection perhaps! So has D Lakin basses ceased trading? Anyone know? Edited November 21, 2017 by lowregisterhead
MikanHannille
Heard from TB that yes. Shame.
AndyTravis
Wow. Was it the headstock?
NJE
1 hour ago, AndyTravis said: Wow. Was it the headstock? Yeah probably! The world didn’t need another Fender clone with a fugly headstock, and lets not even start on the ‘Shark’ bass. They were well spec’d and did look like good solid basses, but some weird promotion/ambassador scheme he had going seemed to kill the bass off on Talkbass which was not the best business move. lowregisterhead
That's a shame. Apparently I was one of the few who loved the headstock and wanted a Shark 5!
