I've just bought one of thesehttps://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_pb_50_sb_vintage_series.htm and its going to be my Winter Project. As is it plays fine ( although I have got a custom pickup to drop in) I am in 2 minds between turning it into :

1. A Pink Paisley or

2. A Butterscotch Tele Bass

I have the paper pattern to do the Paisley (although it is not quite as Pink) but will have to achieve the 'pink burst effect'  or can go for the Butterscotch colour but that will mean stripping the body down to bare wood. The current neck is too pale so will tint that to an Amber anyway. I'll re-shape the headstock to look period.

What would people like to see the best?

Crikey!  The paisley scares me because of what you might have to wear to carry it off.  Go for it.

I’ll get my nans old curtains and make a shirt for him!?! ha ha!!

Nice, I guess being a solid colour then it does not require stripping down to bare wood?

Mine was a bare body when I got it.. it's sprayed in nitro

The Paisley design would be my choice but I'd be looking at a colour other than pink. There was a black Paisley bass available last week on eBay which I really liked. Alternatively, a nice shade of green?

I'm moving away from the Paisley ( the black one was a material cover ) as you only get one chance at' bursting' the pink sides and I don't want to screw it up as to do it again would mean stripping the paper off and starting again.....
