Hutton
My 2006 AVRI Precision is buzzing or perhaps humming would be a better description. When I touch the strings or one of the knobs the humming stops. However, when I touch a pole piece the humming gets louder. Any advice good people? Phil_T
You can buy shielding kits on eBay that have copper foil for the scratch plate and conductive paint for the cavity - I used one of them on my mex p bass and it improved things but didn’t completely eliminate the hum
SurroundedByManatees
Sounds like a grounding problem to me. Are you using a grounded wall outlet when it occurs? Could also be a loose soldering joint in the electronics of the bass or something like that.
