Adjusting the poles on a Seymour Duncan pickup

So I have Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound Jazz bass pickups. I need to raise the middle two sets of poles. I've read lots on doing this with guitar pickups and Fender bass pickups but can't see anything about Duncan bass pickups. Anyone done this or have any advice?

Carefully does it, internal damage possible, the poles in pickups can often not be moved too far before signal loss. Dimarzio have  pickups that have screw poles, much easier but they can’t be moved too far before signal loss.
