Grounding a PBass to a Gold Bridge

Hi guys, 

 

As stated above, I change the bridge on my P to a gold Gotoh bridge. I've left the ground wire in the same spot under the bridge, but I just realised I don't actually know if this is correct. Is it okay to ground to gold? I can't find anything onlie, and sorry if it seems like a daft question!

It's fine, gold is a good conductor so the ground wire will work exactly as it did with the previous bridge.

Excuse me, but are we *really* talking about a solid 9ct gold bridge?   I would imagine it's not more "gold" than my BBOT is "silver".

You should earth the bridge in the same way as normal. The fact that it's "gold" makes no difference.

Your bbot to will be chrome or bright nickel plated, the gold coloured one will be actual gold plating. May not be very thickly applied, but it is still real gold. No need for the " "
