Best set up for........

Inspired by a small column in bass guitar magazine, what would people’s best set up be for £500, £1000, £1500, £2000, £3000 be? To include bass, amp/cab/combo and any pedals. Assuming all bought new as second prices are all over the place.

there are so many options at all price points today it's almost impossible to pick any one bit of kit.

 

The aussie dollar is worth nothing these days and we pay so much extra import duty that our prices are ridiculous so I won't name rigs in each category.

But IMHO the best value rig I could make out of my gear is my 2009 mim jazz,with MarkBass Blackline 250w amp with a Hartke XL210 cab. for $1400 AU, thats about five euros or two pesos hehe
