maut
£1500 / EUR 1700 The codes on pickups and pots match with the serial and dates it to 1978. In 40 years it has seen a lot of playing and gigging, but most of the thick black poly finish is still on. The neck is straight, the bullet trussrod works fine, the back of the neck is perfect. It´s possible to adjust it to a real low action if that´s what you need. Luckily he kept the original parts, so after I bought the bass I put back in the grey bobbin PUs including all original pots and wiring, so the bass is in original condition again except for a set of Schaller security end pins. The sound of this bass is rich, the heavy body with maple neck gives a lot of high end together with a solid fat tone. A perfect weapon for studio work! It weighs more than 5 kg, typical for the late 70´s Fender ash bodys. I´m located in Berlin, Germany. Pickup is welcome, shipping is possible to the expense of the buyer. No trades please.
