Telebass
Depending on how far you stray from the brown shell standard, the first place to check is with Fender. I don't recommend WD or Allparts guards, as they are rarely a good fit. However, it must be said that even Fenders don't fit that well sometimes... budget bassist
Has anybody seen anywhere that sells a black jazz guard cut to fit a precision pickup? I can't find anywhere that sells them, not even fender! Also Simm's custom shop do them. I'm considering sending mine in for them to copy it. The thread about it is here including links to WD. Clarky
I have one FS in the 'other' (non-bass, non-amp) section of Marketplace - its an as-new 1962 RI Jazz tort scratchplate - http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=31347&hl=tort However I don't know if this fits a 75 RI Selling for £25 posted versus new cost of about £40 from Fender (and over £30 from WD) Cheers Clarky Edited November 13, 2008 by Clarky
