Captchas

I made 2 posts today and both times had to prove i wasnt a robot by ticking the captcha page.  I'm logged in fine, and use Firefox. Never had this happen before - oooer

Are you on a VPN? It's basically the new site learning what is "trustworthy" behaviour. I get it too and find it frustrating, if you can screenshot the code we'll be able to dig out the reason and possibly eliminate it

It never happened again Charic, so cannot screenshot it for you. All appears well on the western front now

I get asked to click a box in the Captcha almost every time I post!

Edit: not this time though. I think it asks me when make my first post on the computer in question.

Testing the Captcha from another PC

Edit: no request. Might be a daily thing, appearing the first time I post, then no more hassle as long as I keep posting from a PC on the same IP address.

I see the captchas are back when you edit a For Sale item.  Made 2 edits and got 2 captchas

Edit: my PC is not infected - the antivirus is always active and shows no security breaches.

I forgot Charic. They look eggs akly like Silvia's but if every code is unique,  what i can do is go edit one of my sales and see if a captcha comes up, and grab the code

The top half looks just the same as above, so i screen shotted the bottom half, but i didnt get

that streetsign thing.  I just have to tick the box ' i'm not a robot '

@fleabag - I only have to do the street sign thing around half the times I get a captcha. No idea why!

I've tweaked our security sensitivity, if it seems to be taking the fosters can someone give me a shout please  (again having a screenshot is a HUGE help)

As of late Charic, i have only got captchas when i've edited a For Sale item.  I'm going to edit  another to see if they still pop up

Ok,  just got back

I edited one of my For Sale items, and no pop up captchas - i edited twice just to be sure, but nothing.

Methinks your tweaks have the magic touch.

I find the Captcha pictures confusing... sometimes they are ambiguous. What constitutes street furniture? Do they mean just the signs, or the posts as well? Does a shop front mean the shop sign or the flat above, too? How much of a car has to be in a picture before it counts? Does its shadow count? Gah!
