Marshall Grant

Good morning/afternoon/evening.

I've been listening to Johnny Cash a lot recently and have been wondering juat what electric bass Grant Marshall uses in his earlier days.

It's black and looks like a solidbody Hofner, but i just can't find one that looks the same.

Any clues would be useful, and i apologise if this has already been posted.

An Epiphone Embassy or Newport... and I have absolutely no idea why I feel the desire to update such an old thread!

He also had an early 50s P-bass and one of those Micro Frets basses. when not on the upright.
