ben_eat_pie Posted November 13, 2008 Share Posted November 13, 2008 The above pedal has been reliable since I got it, but It's developed a heavy buzzing/hissing sound and changes in level when you adjust the pedals level. Just wondered if anyone has had the same problem, and if they know how to fix it. I'm not too scared of going inside the thing, could be fun. Also, are there any people out there who've tried different tubes in it - I'm considering trying something else - if the whole pedal isn't totally w**nked. escholl Posted November 14, 2008 Share Posted November 14, 2008 it could be that a ground connection has come loose somewhere, or it could be that the tube(s) need replacing, or it could be something completely different. i had a humming noise in my blackfinger that was steadily getting worse, and it turned out that one of the op-amps was dying....unfortunately humming/buzzing noises can be caused by almost anything. take a look inside, if it's not anything obvious (like a wire that's come loose or something) then replace the tube, since you're intending to anyways....and if that doesn't work...err...let us know?
