ajwillshire Posted December 28, 2017 Posted December 28, 2017 Hi, I've got an Eden Metro Combo that I need to sell mainly due to house space reasons. It's had a pretty easy life and in decent condition. I bought it new in 2002 or thereabouts but it's probably done fewer than 100 gigs. As you'd expect, it sounds amazing but I just don't use it enough to justify the floorspace it takes up. Any sensible offers considered. It lives in East London - collection is probably best, though I might be able to meet you part-way if you're coming a long way for it. I'm occasionally up in the Birmingham area for personal reasons if that's better for you. Cheers, Andrew
Mykola Posted January 11, 2018 Posted January 11, 2018 Hello, Andrew Are native Metro speakers together 8Ohms or 4Ohms? Thank Mykolas
ajwillshire Posted February 9, 2018 Author Posted February 9, 2018 Hi Mykolas, Sorry, completely missed this. I'm pretty sure it's 8 Ohms. Cheers, Andrew
Paddy515 Posted February 9, 2018 Posted February 9, 2018 Each speaker is 8 ohms so it runs at 4 ohms in total. Paddy.
bumnote Posted February 10, 2018 Posted February 10, 2018 According to the manual and my rather dodgy memory the metros internal speakers total 8 ohms from the Metro manual IMPORTANT NOTE: The impedance of the internal speakers is 8 Ohms. Remember to factor this in when determining total impedance with additional cabinets. If you metro has 2 off 8 ohm speakers in parallel giving a total impedance of 4 ohms it might suggest a special or the speakers have been replaced.
itsmedunc Posted February 10, 2018 Posted February 10, 2018 It's all in the manual. It appears to say it's 8ohm as a standalone. Runs at 4ohm with an extension 8ohm cab and another 4ohm would take it down to 2ohm. There's a table with different configurations. http://www.edenamps.com/assets/4012.058_dc210xltmetro-2006.pdf

Best bass gear I've ever used. Loved it. Ridiculously cheap now and vastly underrated. That's only because most folk haven't used one! Anyone who has used one will know exactly what I mean. Twin channel, down to 2ohm, more features than a thing with loads of features and a magic enhance knob. What more could a bassist want? I'm going to end up buying this aren't I? 😂 2
bumnote Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 As you say, cheap for what it is. When I bought mine they were £1500 although I got a discount. I thought mine came with castors but maybe I fitted them.
ajwillshire Posted February 19, 2018 Author Posted February 19, 2018 @itsmedunc Yes, you really should! :-D Giving this a bit of a bump for a Monday morning... And yes, it comes with castors. Mine lives downstairs too - every living room needs one...
ajwillshire Posted October 30, 2018 Author Posted October 30, 2018 Price cut! Would make great Xmas present for young bass players needing their first "serious" amplifier. Will consider any reasonable offer...
fleabag Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 You could probably sell this to the bass gallery for more than you're asking here. They have one for sale at £850 right now, assuming it's identical
ajwillshire Posted October 31, 2018 Author Posted October 31, 2018 Yeah, but it's been there for a long time! Doubt they would want a second one 🙂 Thanks, though.
itsmedunc Posted November 9, 2018 Posted November 9, 2018 If anyone wants a class combo, that can give any gear out there a run for it's money, this is it. £1600+ when new and worth every penny. What else in that realm can be bought for £350? It's a no brainer and criminally cheap! 4
Tubster Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 Heckuva deal - brilliant that old Eden stuff and the Metro is a standout piece. It should go real fast! 3
lozkerr Posted January 3, 2019 Posted January 3, 2019 Bump. I'd buy it if I didn't have one already. 1
ajwillshire Posted January 3, 2019 Author Posted January 3, 2019 Just think how great it would be to have two... 😀

GLWTS. Hopefully someone will snap it up - that's a steal for a fabulous bit of kit. 1
ajwillshire Posted January 20, 2019 Author Posted January 20, 2019 This has now been sold! Took a while, but it's gone to a good home. Sob! 2
