I was interested in a pre CBS precision and the prices are much more affordable than Ebay. Some vintage prices are ridiculously low, so tread carefully. Couple of original 60’s Jazz basses on there at the moment for just over £2k for example. If it looks to good to be true, it absolutely, definitely is. The site is just an older looking, older feeling, less functional Gumtree anyway. Probably bought more than I've sold, although did sell some JBL PA cabs to a guy from Bristol who saw my advert placed locally, so you never know. I had them advertised for less on here without any luck too. Always wary about divulging full contact details until I'm reasonably sure it's okay, but realise it's still a gamble to some extent. Hassle free till it got to the UK and HMR&C took over...do you that one of the requirements for getting a job with them is that your parents weren't married? There are great buys (and loads of junk), but sellers have to beware of scammers and of intentional slips, like Squiers being advertised as Fenders. The key to any potential purchase is get a phone number and speak to the seller. Ask for further details (and pics if needed). If it feels "off", leave it.
