'Reaction' Videos

I don't know why it keeps popping up on my You Tube feed as I haven't mistakenly clicked on one for a long time, but I noticed a 'reaction video' for the Rush song YYZ keeps appearing.

I presume the sole purpose of this type of video is to make money from the amount of views as I can't think of a reason for them being there otherwise.

It's not like any of them have any formalised critique of what they are being 'exposed' to as I presume the whole point of them is to capture exactly that moment.  

I hope they pay well as it seems a completely pointless exercise to me. Or am I missing something?

I quite like the "weaboo nation" bloke - he's funny and swears like a trooper; he describes himself as "Just a talentless black guy who enjoys music,anime and video games.".

I watched a different one today, with two blokes, but they kept stopping the music to talk, which was a bit annoying, so I'll probably skip them.

I know - I'm a lost case; it's kind of like re-living the first time you heard something.

I think they must be somehow sponsored or something as that one has got its way to the top of my list of suggested posts.

As the rest of my suggested posts are different songs by the same artists I have seen videos by or things related to what I watched, it stands out a little bit
