bubinga5
Any thoughts on this amp. I like the power, I like the headphone jack and I like the aux for practice. I'e seen one for £299 second hand. I haven' heard the sound. . Any thoughts.? Edited January 7, 2018 by bubinga5
fretmeister
Lovely things. i had the 9.2. Big clean and clear sound with a little grit from the preamp if you want.
Andytre
i have the 12.2 best amp i've ever had. went to bass direct tried everything left with one of the last 12.2s available! the 6.2 will be a great little amp
stingrayPete1977
I've got a 3.0, 6.0 and a 9.2 Shuttlemax with the twin channels, one channel is the same as the 6.2 but with the 900 watt power amp. Brilliant amps all of them.
mcnach
Good amp. I had the 9.2... Versatile and good sounding.
project_c
I have the 3.0 combo which I love, the whole of that Genz range was great. His new Genzler stuff looks just as good too.
stingrayPete1977
I actually like the sound of my 3.0 the best.
Horizontalste
I had the 6 & honestly wish I hadn't sold it. Phill Mann (awesome player & really nice bloke) bought it off me within minutes of the advert going up.
Chewie
I've got the 6.2 and I will never sell it. I took mine to Bass Direct to test some DB112's and people were cooing over it! Check this out............

bubinga5
Much difference between the Shuttle 6.0 and the 6.2.?
MoonBassAlpha
The 6.2 is meant to have more heft! I've not tried one though. The 6.2 is meant to have more drive available in the preamp too.
stingrayPete1977
I can't tell much difference tone wise between my 6.0 and Shuttlemax 9.2 on it's valve channel.
bubinga5
Another question. Ive been in conversation with another BC member, and they said the GB Shuttle might not be so good for the music I like. That being soul/neo soul, funk etc? Surely with EQ and the right cab this is possible. ? Surely any decent amp will get me a tone I like.? All subjective I guess.
stingrayPete1977
Ed Friedland used GB amps to demo every type of bass playing every style of music. I've used mine in covers bands playing double bass 50s Rock n roll through to the latest chart pop music with every genre and era inbetween. I don't see why it wouldn't work for your style of music. (I owned a Shuttle 9.2)
