Harryburke14
So, I currently run as my main amp a Fender Rumble 500 head into an Orange OBC410 Cab. It is an amp/cab combination that I spent hours choosing in PMT this time last year, and I have to say I love the sound of it as much now as I did then. What I'm not too keen on is the weight of the Orange Cab. Also, 500w and a 4x10 is huge overkill for my current needs as a non-gigging bassist playing in my bedroom, but I don't want to downsize too much as I am looking at getting back into the gigging scene in the near future. So, does anyone know of a good replacement for the OBC410 that won't break my back or my wallet? I suppose budget will be whatever OBC410s sell for second hand. Or, I suppose the secondary question: Does anyone know of an easier way of transporting a 91lb Cab up and down the stairs from my room into the car when needs be? machinehead
I think any decent and lightweight 2 x 12 will do any gig and be an easier shape to move. Frank.
bassmachine2112
Hiho what about a SP212 Orange Cab.One hand lift or an OBC115 . I have both and the 15 is the best sounding Orange Cab as I ve used the 410 as well. They sound better with an Orange head though.
M@23
TKS use Eminence Beta as your Orange does. A TKS 112 weighs about 10kg too. Obviously won't sound the same, might might be a similar vibe though.
Lozz196
Shameless hijack, I`ve just seen the Eminence Beta comment and I`m offloading an Ashdown RM414 (a 4ohm 410) that has these in, and it weighs 28kg/61lbs.

The Beta 10 is barely adequate for electric bass. With only 3mm xmax it's displacement limited to only about 50 watts. Many 2x12s will produce as much low end as a Beta 10 loaded 4x10. Lozz196
I`m surprised about that, Bill, given the love for TKS cabs on here.
Bill Fitzmaurice
I don't see any 410s on their site, nor any indication of what they use for drivers.
