So,

I currently run as my main amp a Fender Rumble 500 head into an Orange OBC410 Cab. It is an amp/cab combination that I spent hours choosing in PMT this time last year, and I have to say I love the sound of it as much now as I did then. What I'm not too keen on is the weight of the Orange Cab. Also, 500w and a 4x10 is huge overkill for my current needs as a non-gigging bassist playing in my bedroom, but I don't want to downsize too much as I am looking at getting back into the gigging scene in the near future.

So, does anyone know of a good replacement for the OBC410 that won't break my back or my wallet? I suppose budget will be whatever OBC410s sell for second hand.

Or, I suppose the secondary question: Does anyone know of an easier way of transporting a 91lb Cab up and down the stairs from my room into the car when needs be?

TKS use Eminence Beta as your Orange  does. A TKS 112 weighs about 10kg too. Obviously won't sound the same, might might be a similar vibe though.

Shameless hijack, I`ve just seen the Eminence Beta comment and I`m offloading an Ashdown RM414 (a 4ohm 410) that has these in,  and it weighs 28kg/61lbs.

That's not a good thing. The Beta 10 is barely adequate for electric bass. With only 3mm xmax it's displacement limited to only about 50 watts. Many 2x12s will produce as much low end as a Beta 10 loaded 4x10.
