Bobbyblues1
Hi I have been offerred 2 old Euphonic Audio cabs; a LV108 and a LV110. The drivers were removed years ago. Can anyone please give me some guidance on a replacement 8", !0", 5 1/2" and 4" Thank you Robert
pete.young
Hi Robert, Think you might struggle with replacing those. The drivers in the VL110 and VL108 were custom drivers made by Eminence and the cabs are transmission line cabs designed around the driver specifications. I managed to source a recone kit from EA some years ago, but they were not very forthcoming about driver specs and it's hard to find the best match, particularly for the woofer, without. You could try emailing EA and asking what they suggest. If the crossovers have gone too I don't know how you'd go about replacing them. BassBod
Yep - what Pete said. Excellent cabs, but they need the correct spec units to sound as intended. I recall they were also pretty weighty for their size. The CXL 110 (next series) was a wonderful little thing.
Bobbyblues1
Thanks guys John at EA told me the P Audio PHT-407 is a suitable replacement for the tweeter but was not forthcoming on the woofer and mid range. I am quite familiar with transmission line cabs having designed and built a fair number of them. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be very grateful. Thank you.
