I bought a new roadworn Precision recently and change the strings within ten minutes of it arriving. I've obviously destroyed my investment!

He's a bit strange this 'un.

Apart from being deluded about the value of it, his tactics are strange.

It was up twice at £1500, then a couple of times at £1100, then three times at £950. Obviously he's had no bids.

So, no bids at £950 (at least £150 more than they are going for), think I'll put it out at £2kO.o

Think I'll put my Am Deluxe out at £1500xD

Maybe he just isn't aware of the new price? You'd have to be a knob to sell something without researching what it's worth, though...

Richards seem in plentiful supply these days...

So we can't type 'd i c k' now? I'm getting 'Richard' instead. Come on, really. What if someone's name is 'Richard' but they prefer to be called 'D i c k'? The profanity filter on this site really is set to toddler levels, it's embarrassing! :(

What about tricky dicky Nixon?

You can't call someone a 'dicky' - that's worse than 'Richard'!

Yeah tricky Richard doesn't have the same ring, somehow, and 'Tricky Dicky' is how he's gone down in history (if we can still say 'gone down'!)

If you really want a double entendre, I'll give you one...

2 options I can see.

1: He thinks because it will be a rosewood board the value will go up.

2: He doesn't want to sell but he wants his wife to think that he is trying to sell it. This is a useful tactic. Ahem.

Hadn't thought of that. If true, his listing is completely valid. :D

Are you sure? I'll bend over backwards to accommodate you.

You could do yourself a nasty injury like that, chap of your age and experience should know better than to try!

If you're going to fob me off like this, I wash my hands of you!
