guzzibass
I've seen and/or been tempted by a USA made late '70s/early '80 Schecter fretless. Can't find much info on these does anyone know anything about early USA made Schecters? Cheers Edited November 15, 2008 by guzzibass
noelk27
Go for it. '81, in the space of one week bought a Schecter precision style and a Fender Precision Special. In all honesty thought the Schecter was streets better than the Fender. Don't regret letting the Fender go, but miss that Schecter. The modern stuff isn't a patch on the one you're looking at. The Burpster
Early Schecters will be US made and with jaw dropping QC and attention to detail, they are excellent VFM. If its helps, Mark Knopfler was so underwhelmed by the Fender Strat's build quality he had Schecter make him Strat copies.... I like 'em....
