stewblack Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 Anyone recommend a stand for an Epiphone Thunderbird? Mine decided to jump out onto the floor last night. Which failed to amuse me. đ„ Quote
ezbass Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 One of these bad boys http://www.herculesstands.co.uk/p/auto-grab-guitar-stand-with-foldable-yoke?pp=24 will do the trick. I use a double one for my brace of gigging basses. Quote

Mottlefeeder Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 (edited) Not quite on topic, but... If your cabs have handles on them, then a quick release strap to attach the bass to the cab is pretty fooolproof, and takes up virtually no pack space. Markbass do/did one, but any strap will do. stewblack Posted January 19, 2018 Author Posted January 19, 2018 Cheers David, I actually have one of those but ironically I have just switched to MarkBass 1 X 15 and its too small! When I use both 15s it should work. Quote

dannybuoy Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 My basses sit in a rack except for the T-Bird which is more stable in the Hercules stand. Recommended! Quote
TheGreek Posted February 6, 2018 Posted February 6, 2018 These suffered with sticky handles for a while but Herc did replace them if you brought it to their attention. Quote
barkin Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 Not mine, they didn't. Outside of the 12 month warranty period, they weren't interested. Quote

Very odd, mine was out of warranty and they replaced it anyway, no questions asked. I sent pics to confirm the model and it arrived two days later. The guy I spoke to was Robin Croker and he could not have been more helpful. Quote
T-Bay Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 And I still use mine for a Gibson Thunderbird, best one I have come across for it. Quote
FinnDave Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 My Hercules stand has been consigned to the loft for the last year since it fell over during an interval and deposited one of my basses into the drum kit. The guitarist was nearby but swore he hadn't knocked it. I'm still not sure...might have to get it back out and try again, it was a very useful way of having two easily accessible basses on stage.
