Aero71 Posted January 20, 2018 Posted January 20, 2018 Hi, Is someone familiar with Musictis Music https://www.musictis.com/index.php?main_page=index Seems too good to be true... all basses 49% off. Quote
Graham Posted January 20, 2018 Posted January 20, 2018 £600 for an American Professional or £800 for an American Elite Fender? Something's not right there. Quote
King Tut Posted January 20, 2018 Posted January 20, 2018 I just put the address into Google Maps and it looks like a residential property, not a shop or warehouse. If something looks to good to be true, it usually is! Quote
spongebob Posted January 20, 2018 Posted January 20, 2018 The Mustang P/J is at E239! If that was real, I'd be all over it! Impressive site, but...... Quote
Cuzzie Posted January 20, 2018 Posted January 20, 2018 I was considering a small purchase on a credit card to see what happens so I have buyer protection. Hmmm..... Quote
Argus Posted January 20, 2018 Posted January 20, 2018 Looks seriously dodgy. Surely must be a phishing site or something? The certificates are all weird (BBB is an American thing right?) and the domain name is registered to the same details as the 'warehouse' contact address. I've reported to Action Fraud, hopefully (if it is fake) it'll get shut down and no-one'll get scammed. If not, here's to 49% off everything! Quote
NancyJohnson Posted January 20, 2018 Posted January 20, 2018 The domain was only registered on 17/1/18. I can smell a scam. 1 Quote
Argus Posted January 20, 2018 Posted January 20, 2018 Absolutely. And they're probably not just after your money from a fake sale, but also your credit card details. I'd be really cautious filling in any details on the site. Quote
T-Bay Posted January 20, 2018 Posted January 20, 2018 Give them a call and ask what time their shop is open as you would like to test a few out. The premises look impressive. My guess is it will either be an answerphone or you will get some BS as to why you can’t visit. Quote
EssentialTension Posted January 20, 2018 Posted January 20, 2018 The prices are not believable. Quote
mcnach Posted January 20, 2018 Posted January 20, 2018 Classic 50s Precision for 386 euros??? Erm... nope. Too good to be true. That's like £450 cheaper than in most places. I'll watch the site with interest and see how long until it goes down. Quote

gjones Posted January 21, 2018 Posted January 21, 2018 It's supposedly been trading since 2012. I'll eat my hat if this place turns out to be kosher. Quote
BassBus Posted January 21, 2018 Posted January 21, 2018 There is no secure purchasing. No padlock beside the web address. Keep clear at all costs. Quote
KiOgon Posted January 21, 2018 Posted January 21, 2018 Google maps won't show you down Overfield road, must be someone in Croydon area could pay them a visit? https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.3455897,-0.1180631,3a,75y,50.6h,90.74t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1s5xgen5nHJGA1G4aSVg30dw!2e0!7i13312!8i6656 Quote

Phil_T Posted January 21, 2018 Posted January 21, 2018 The images seem to be of a Sweetwater store in Indiana. 1 Quote

Aero71 Posted January 21, 2018 Author Posted January 21, 2018 I just hope nobody falls for it. Is creditcard protection worth anything if people placed an order and paid for it? Quote

ped Posted January 21, 2018 Posted January 21, 2018 Just phoned and there’s an answer machine message from someone saying the site is a scam and advising you not to purchase. Apparently it’s been reported to the police and fraud squad. I presume whoever made the site just made up a phone number and some poor sod has been getting loads of calls. 1 Quote
