MrTea
I know nothing about Scott Whitley or Big Country but I do like the look of these and quite like the paint job. I know it means nothing until the last minute in an eBay auction but I’m amazed this still has no bids ... https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F263428133008

MrTea
I think it was supposed to end today and had no bids.
spectoremg
As an early Big Country fan; who the flip is Scott Whitley? And why all the references to their third album The Seer on which Tony Butler played bass?

He's a Bassist who played with a later version of BC and who designed said Bass Guitar, which is now sold by Chowny. Every day's a school day....
MWH
Hi, i pulled the Seer bass because of so little interest , i was quite surprised because a six string Nevada guitar i also listed worth peanuts had 70 watchers. anyway its gone to a huge Big Country fan so all is Ok, not sure if he can even play bass or putting it on the wall. MrTea
Nice to hear it went to a good home! I was also surprised it had no bids - regardless of the Big Country connection you don't see that many SWB-1s going 2nd hand and the starting price seemed reasonable. MWH
Scott Whitley brought it to my home himself and B/Country are appearing at the local Picturedrome a mile from where i live in March, dare'nt go see them now !
TheGreek
Great basses and with the Scott Whitley connection I saw it flying away - I thought this was going to sell for £700+.
Rumple
Scott Whitley is also a member on Basschat, plus he does lots of instructional videos on YouTube.
