I recently acquired an amazing Bravewood Jaco Replica bass which the previous owner had added a vintage style Spitfire scratchplate.

These are handmade in the States and tastefully reliced.

This one is designed for a pre-CBS bass but should fit any 60s Jazz bass I think. This has a buckle to it, to emulate the old guards which means you’ll need to stretch it on your bass. It’s that period accurate!

These cost $200 new, and with shipping and import duties they’re nearer £300 when landed in the UK.

Now reduced to £100!

That is stunning. Almost wish I had a Jazz Bass to put it on!

Too right! I do have one Jazz bass I rarely play, but it's tempting!

Me too, the reason I rarely play my Jazz is that I have 4 Precisions. Six if you count the two I've got up for sale!

Absolute bargain IMO - I had a Spitfire plate on a Limelight Jazz - a thing of great beauty.  As good as it gets in the aftermarket plate sector
