I'm selling my Wood&Tronics custom EJ bass, the ultimate design 2017... with an incredible intensely figured flamed maple top

Neck : 3 -piece ash/maple/ash (same measure)

Thanks for your question:

It's a passive bass... we choose to use those pickups because they are very (expensive...) responsive, transparent and powerful and we thought it was not useful to have a preamp on this bass.

Erno Zwaan (owner, designer and engineer of Q-Tuner) doesn't recommend anything but passive path.

I used to own two basses with the very first generation of these pickups (transparent with the red coils visible and three rows of screw for fine tuning the sound) : humbucker, but really close to a single coil with the same attack and response, but not as dead sharp precise. Certainly the best humbucker pickup(s) ever without the need of an active preamp to correct the sound that is very dynamic, fast, clear, focused with a terrific bandwidth.

I think my next fretless 6 strings will get this brand new version :

Wonderfull bass, if I had the cash cash I would buy it immediatly. Judt received my custom W&T Zoid. Enrico and Eric of Wood&Tronics basses build fantastic instruments
