Updated!

I know you've already started a Spotify playlist for this, but I didn't when I started another one.... and because I'd started from the beginning of the "part 1" thread, I've ended up with a 503 song / 42 hour monster playlist.

Ah well, at least I will have a decent playlist ready for my next road trip! :D

I dunno if you'd rather merge them all into yours so save having two lists on the go at the same time? If so, I'll happily delete my one or make it private again or whatnot?

In the meantime - in case it's of interest to anyone - here it is-

IMO The Fatback Band need more love around here especially hugely overlooked/underrated  bassman Johnny Flippin. Most of their songs have cracking basslines. Have some of this off the People's Music album

Just blows me away every time. Ive listened to everything they have ever written, and I'm convinced they are the best soul funk band that have ever recorded that particular music.

I'm a bit late to the party on this thread, play a lot of funk, always have done

So I'll get a few videos of tracks I've played recently

Bra - Cymande (recent live session - 2016)

Blow Tower of Power or any other soul funk band  away does this Scottish funk band imo. Their music is so much deeper. I have every recording they have produced and where it comes from im not sure. Its not from Scotland.. Its astounding the  great music The Average White Band have recorded.
