Ricky 4000 Posted February 23, 2021 Posted February 23, 2021 Apologies if this has been posted up before: My son put me onto this! Embarrassed to say that I don't know much about him... 3 Quote
jazzburger Posted February 24, 2021 Posted February 24, 2021 (edited) Incognito's Randy Hope-Taylor has the most gorgeous tone on this track. The solo takes me off somewhere else and though I have the part written down, I've never tried to play it (tut, tut). (I don't know why this does not display the video window - it's my browser I think) Edited February 25, 2021 by jazzburger Want my links to work properly... 1 Quote

Magnetic Ocean - YouTube (I don't know why this does not display the video window - it's my browser I think) I love his bass solo on this track also.. 😎 1 Quote
jazzburger Posted February 25, 2021 Posted February 25, 2021 (edited) I'm a big fan of Wayman Tisdale and I love the clean/filthy sound he gets on 'Circumstances'. I don't use effects but I think I'm hearing chorus and a fair bit of compression - not that I care really, I'm too busy grooving to it. If a forum member can tell me how to embed YouTube clips I'd be grateful. My posts are all looking pretty dull... Edited February 25, 2021 by jazzburger Being a muppet Quote

Copy and paste the YT link from the address bar and the site usually embeds it for you. Although sometimes I have to do it twice. Just paste the link without giving it a title. 1 Quote
jazzburger Posted February 25, 2021 Posted February 25, 2021 (edited) SpondonBassed - thanks for the tip. Let's see if this works - I hope so because this is one of my favourite live solos. Edited February 25, 2021 by jazzburger Trying another browser 3 Quote
Barking Spiders Posted February 25, 2021 Posted February 25, 2021 Can't beat a bit of The Herbaliser. Fkin love this track, both the original here and the Kruder & Dorfmeister remix. Quote
jazzburger Posted February 25, 2021 Posted February 25, 2021 This is for Bubinga5 - it doesn't answer your earlier question (though I'm on the hunt for that) but I love it anyway and there are great play-along possibilities here 🙂 1 Quote
jazzburger Posted February 25, 2021 Posted February 25, 2021 If you love mid-70's Blue Note and the many fine works of Jean-Paul 'Bluey' Maunick, I think you might like this. Thumbs at the ready... Quote
jazzburger Posted February 25, 2021 Posted February 25, 2021 (edited) Well, you hear that drum sound and you just know it's Philadephia International. I have driven at over 100 mph on the inside lane of the M60 listening to this. I'm not proud of it but there were extenuating circumstances... Derrick Graves on bass. Edited February 25, 2021 by jazzburger We need to know who's playing bass Quote
