Tried to upload the original, anyway, the quality of the playing, arrangements and studio engineering is just peachy on these early 80's dance tunes...love it tho this remix is a bit crisper, still cool tho. bearhart74 Posted April 6, 2023 Posted April 6, 2023 one of if not the funkiest bass parts ever. 2 Quote
Mykesbass Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 Sorry, not going through all 47 pages to check if this has been posted before. Heard it yesterday on my local Tesco in store radio - they play some great stuff. Anyway, a classic mellow groove from Billy Paul. 2 Quote

bubinga5 Posted April 14, 2023 Author Posted April 14, 2023 Just the guitar riff on its own is a classic. One of the greatest soul funk records ever recorded. 4 Quote

bubinga5 Posted April 14, 2023 Author Posted April 14, 2023 Its Incognito.........Of course the players are going to be world class. I never could work out who the bass player was. I think its Ernie Mckone. Who ever it is its utterly mind bending. 3 Quote

dmccombe7 Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 Not sure why i haven't seen this thread before. Amazing songs on here. Always enjoyed this kind of music but i've never really understood where the boundaries were, if any. I have a few albums that i've always thought verged on soul, funk or groove but was afraid to ask. Some like Incognito have already been posted. Liking this thread so far but at 47 pages its gonna take me a while to go thru them all Dave 3 Quote
Leonard Smalls Posted April 25, 2023 Posted April 25, 2023 Heard this on the Craig Charles show yesterday, and surprisingly, considering it's modern R'n'B, I like it. as Mr Charles says, it's got a wiggle! Quote
