12 inches of a groove classic from this woman and her band.

Tried to upload the original, anyway, the quality of the playing,  arrangements and studio engineering is just peachy on these early 80's dance tunes...love it tho this remix is a bit crisper, still cool tho.

Sorry, not going through all 47 pages to check if this has been posted before. Heard it yesterday on my local Tesco in store radio - they play some great stuff. Anyway, a classic mellow groove from Billy Paul.

Another late 70's Herbie track...

I think they call this 'pushing at an open door' Bloomin' lovely track.

Its Incognito.........Of course the players are going to be world class. I never could work out who the bass player was. I think its Ernie Mckone. Who ever it is its utterly mind bending.

Just the guitar riff on its own is a classic. One of the greatest soul funk records ever recorded.

Great band. Native New Yorker is one of my all time favourites.

It does help when you pick songs by this legend:

And if you don't know it, Richie Havens' cover is pretty cool:

First band I ever saw live. I was about 13.

Not sure why i haven't seen this thread before. Amazing songs on here.

Always enjoyed this kind of music but i've never really understood where the boundaries were, if any.

I have a few albums that i've always thought verged on soul, funk or groove but was afraid to ask.

Some like Incognito have already been posted.

Liking this thread so far but at 47 pages its gonna take me a while to go thru them all :laugh1:
