Two absolutely great sessions here:

Dope. I saw Kiefer this year in Highbury & Islington. Was cool. I’ve followed him before he even got signed. Soundcloud was a great place. Had loads of convos with him also. Cool guy.

Now that is a tune... thanks!

Indeed it is. I only just came across it myself as I’m on the Jazz Cafe mailing list and she’s playing there this year and it sounded interesting. Am checking out the album too.

Ooh, another McCoy Tyner fan. Thanks for reminding me that there’s one of his big band records I still don’t have a copy of (I have this one though).

I heard some EW&F this morning. I had forgotten how groovy they really were. Great playing, tight horn arrangements and terrific vocals.

How about this fantastic version by The Salsoul Orchestra, which might even top the classic original

I've still got that album!! There are a few catchy 'Sexy' Disco arrangements and orchestrations on there. Apart from 'Short Shorts', I'm not sure what that was all about.

Mostly arranged by the 'Godfather of Disco' arrangements, Vince Montana. He was a member of MFSB as well.

Talking of Sexy Orchestrations...TSOP.

:D
