Cicero Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 Favourites? Too many to name... As for something new, this tune is crazy soulful - Vulfpeck's collaboration with Joey Dosik on Running Away. I've lost count of the number of times I've replayed it recently: 1 Quote
Cicero Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 This has to be one of the funkiest soul-filled tunes Parliament/Funkadelic ever did. Funkin' For Fun - It's so good to your earhole: Quote
Cicero Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 One of the smoothest tunes out there... It's like butter. 1 Quote
Cicero Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 Effortlessly soulful, funky and groovy... It's just badass, like Miles was: 1 Quote
lowdown Posted August 24, 2018 Posted August 24, 2018 The Golden Oldies (Nathan East, Bob James, Harvey Mason and Chuck Loeb). Check out the solo interplay, some serious ear chops going on. They seem to know how to groove..... 1 Quote

Purple Posted September 8, 2018 Posted September 8, 2018 I first heard Greg Edwards (Capital Fm, London) play this during his Sunday night sets at the Old Dun Cow in the Old Kent Road. Great tune, great days.... 1 Quote
lowdown Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 (edited) If I wasn't gigging up and down the OKR back then, I would be in there, listening to Greg. Great times, I lived just up the road from 'The Old Cow' for about ten years. I once found £150.00 in there (under a table). I told the guv'. He said, "It's probably 'weed' money, no one has asked about it. Keep it mate and buy all your mates a few beers......in here"... Edited September 9, 2018 by lowdown Quote
