new bass for me

Just won a bass on ebay.

Bought it mainly as a backup but also to mod and to have something light to have about the house. Also fancied a 4 string with a maple fingerboard for a while. Dont know much about them anyone else got one? It looks like a mab? series but dosnt have that on the head stock. If it is it means it was built in the early 90s which looks about right. Anyone shed some light?

mod wise im thinking new black hardware including badass bridge and tuners, paint headstock black new pickups depending on the sound possibly delaneos or wizard. The question is active or passive. hmmm

seems nice enough to me andy! could be interesting... see if you can fit an ACG filter EQ in it!

I was thinking about an ACG filter actually ever since i tried bigredxs pedulla. I dont no though then the preamp would cost 5 times as much as the bass cost me.

Hamster was yours exactly the same? i looked through the aria club on talkbass and couldnt find a fretted one like mine with a maple F/B and i didnt see any with the same logo as mine.

I have the fretless version of this bass, previously owned by [b]Born 2 Be Mild[/b]. It's absolutely fine, I have flats on mine and it gives a fairly thuddy sound. It's light, comfy, reliable, stays it tune etc etc
