ferguswads
Short stay, I was recording in Croydon this weekend and stumbled across a TS808. (at the time didn't ask whether original or RI but I assume RI) It was like the room lit up when I turned it on. Now I'm aware that TS808s are quite expensive but you seem to be able to pick up TS9's relatively cheap. I've read all the info that analogman has up. But I want to know in real terms has any tried out the two? And if I stump for a TS9 will I be disapointed. Thanks in advance
john_the_bass
I've never thought of using a Tubescreamer with a bass. Did you use a tube amp? Sounds like it was good though - how would you describe the sound?
vegas_hooker
I have an analogman modded TS9, its supposedly got the innards of a TS808 but whether it does or not is anyone's guess. It sounds a little dry on bass to my ears, but then it was a while back that I used it with bass, and before I gave loops a thought for effects. sk8
I have a TS808 clone (Basically a Daphon Pedal with Monte ALlums mod) and i think it sounds great on Bass. It gives a really nice OD sound without losing too much definition
