Why? A few peeps have such short arms that they really can't play long scale.

The first time I tried one I could do so much more on it than I could on the longer scales, you just know when you play something that’s right for you, why should I practice and struggle to do things on the longer scale when I can do them on the short scale? The short scale facilitates my playing, the longer scale hinders it.

Don't get me wrong... Mine plays (played) great and looks lovely,  I would just spend over a k slightly differently!

Yes, this is exactly how I look at it now. I should have just posted Got A Grand To Spend, Suggestions?

Aerodyne's weren't available in 1992. They were introduced somewhere in the 2000s. A quick peek on google learns that they were first seen on the namm of 2003.

I had a lake placid blue one that looked awesome and sounded good. Though I think an old JB special sounds more balanced.

There is a young man who really might be better off with a short scale......

:-)

He won't have it - we've tried! He has a good ukelele which he won't touch. Even a standard guitar is definitely second best - given the choice he always says "I want the big one!" For now he's happy just playing open strings :-)

(Sorry, this is well OT now...)

So what have you done in the end?

Dod you get a refund?

I did not, I stuck at it but the short scale thing has won. It now just sits in the rack looking gorgeous but wasted so I’m going to hopefully sell it on here.
