Hello, anyone tried both of the above to give a comparison,I'm looking to restring my 5'er,my main preference is for a slack feel,ie a string that requires less tension to tune to pitch, tone wise nickel or comp wound stainless would both fit the bill.both sets come as 45-125,mike b.

I've used both in 4 string and currently have MM Fatbeams on.IIRC the Sunbeams didn't last as long tonewise, but I did like the feel-think the tension was a wee bit less as well. The Fatbeams are very balanced and give nice round tone but do eat my frets a bit-that may be the way I play.

I'm using both these strings at the moment. I really like both of them but I think the Sunbeams will be the slightly better choice for what you're looking for.
