bubinga5
Bought a Yamaha TRB 6 yesterday from aroundabout sound in cheltenham and i hate to say this but i loved it more than my Sadowsky RV5. the tone is like nothing i have ever heard..maybe i havent got the sadowky set up right..i was amazed how easy this bass was to play..the action is perfect..it just feels sooo well made and precise.. a very focused instrument..sounds awsome through my aguilar 212..Will post pics soon.. the best funky punch i have heard on a bass..anyone got one..?? Paulo Silva
I bought my first yamaha trb 6 mk1 back in 1998 and i've kept the bass for almost 10 years and in a monumental stupidity act I sold the bass the bass was great in every aspect and a few weeks ago I bought back one mk1 from a basschat user and i'm loving to have the bass back again. the strange thing is that you dont dig the sadowsky...i've played both 4 and 5 string version and I totally dig the sound and feel of the fender on steroids tone. but then again, if yamaha is your thing, go for it! OutToPlayJazz
I have the Japanese TRB-6 II bolt on model & it's stunning! Yes, the sound of these basses is excellent, isn't it? Very hifi sounding & the range of sounds is amazing. Makes any jazz-type bass sound a bit deficient! However, if you want another one I'll swap mine for your Sadowsky Rich.
