PinkMohawk
Has anyone tried a Boss ODB3 at 18v? I've got one on my board, and my power supply has a spare 18v output, but I'm not sure if it'll blow it up or not, anyone got any insight? dannybuoy
I've had lots of fortunate accidents with running pedals at 18V but I think you'll be taking a big risk with an ODB-3. It's been around for so long that if it was capable of running at 18V and sounding better for it, it would probably be common knowledge by now. Anyhow, I don't think it needs 18V, it sounds pretty solid at 9V and doesn't need the extra headroom. I've had low gain overdrives that have greatly benefited from 18V when used with a hot output bass, but the ODB-3 can take a pretty hot input signal and not get mushy or bogged down as it is.
