No. 8 Wire
Anyone heard of Dark Hollow Basses from Canada? http://www.wightbay.com/shanklin/leisure/dark-hollow-custom-canadian-5-string-fretless-bass-5606019/

No. 8 Wire
Yeah I don't like to judge! Not for me, but then a Fodera single cut wouldn't be either so maybe my taste isn't to be trusted.... Not many luthier built basses come up locally so just interested if these things have a following or if this is an orphan. Have to say though, it has an awfully large neck on that beast, must either neck dive or feel heavy on the shoulder.
TheGreek
The headstock is...well, let's say I'm not a fan of the design. I can't see any way to access the truss rod, or even if there is one. At £400 (or offers) I'm not convinced it is Luthier made.

binky_bass
The headstock looks like it's been run over by a truck... proper Looney Tunes style flat!
dyerseve
I dont understand how or even why you would deliberately arrive at that "shape" for a headstock... Dear god it's even uglier than a Laurus headstock...

Nibody
A Dark Hollow is the best place for it. Covered in wood chips. And Petrol. Lots of Petrol.

I'll be playing them on my upcoming album: whale and dolphin noises in the key of F minor. Coming soon to an elevator near you....
