The challenge was to use mainly walnut. I looked at the pile I had handy and decided to build something inspired by the wingbass concept (basically a headless 34'' bass cut off at the 12th fret). Decided to raplace that with a bit of wood to match the fretboard. with a bit o sanding and now you're pretty much caught up 1 Quote

The idea, to have the dots halfway visable, didn't work as well as I had thought so I added dots for frets 3, 5, 7 and 12. It works and doesn't look too bad but if I was to do it again I would try something else. Quote
