Thanks - yes I knew that but I know other people make these 'half sized' basses with varying actual scale length, depending on, I suppose, what you divide in two. Main bass line is recorded via an octave pedal and my roland microcube (mic'd) to give an idea of the sound this travel-sized rig makes. Then I lined the bass au naturel for the solo. Not only does it look better but you have an additional advantage. On a cold day in the woodshed, so to speak, it will be more comfortable for palm muting.
