alembic1989
Very impressed...sounds like he nailed the design.
Wotcher
Westone used to sell fretless and fretted neck for spectrum bass. Not quite the same thing
blablas
Smart system, only disadvantage is that in fretless mode the action will be high.
Andyjr1515
Never seen this before and can't quite get my head around how it's been done. Remarkable achievement, actually.

White Cloud
Amazing concept and seemingly well executed. I'm impressed...but it'll never catch on

fretlessguy
It is interesting, but I wonder if it is converted to fretless all the way up the neck or just in the octave bar area. Interesting concept, but my stable is full and the wife wants to go to Australia over the summer.

Geek99
Could you maybe lever the bridge down or something ? A little like a drop d tuning peg

cattytown
Dropping nut or bridge would alter tuning/intonation.

cattytown
Though it's not necessarily a big deal. Intonation adjusted for fretted. Fretless you can compensate if it's not perfect. Tuning - shouldn't be hugely out. As long as you are not changing mid song you have a minute to retune. It may be possible to drop, and reposition slightly. Hmm. Sounds like a job for Paul Bigsby...
