Owen
I have a TC Spectracomp which floats my boat. I want to mess with some spacey reverb (maaaan) on my Double Bass bowed harmonics. So I picked up a TC HOF on Ebay ready to edit it to the setting I want and then leave it. The USB slot is so close to the Power socket that I cannot have USB and power plugged in at the same time. My sides are hurting from laughing so much. Just hilarious. There is plenty of room on the spectracomp. Ho ho ho. Why is nothing easy? Owen
I am open to suggestions of which PSU or USB lead to buy to actually make this happen. Ta.
JapanAxe
I'm guessing it won't run off USB power then...
dannybuoy
I thought it did run off USB power? Been a while since I tried it with my Corona Mini though.
CameronJ
I’m pretty sure you need to power the pedal via 9v supply in order to get the pedal to be recognised over USB. I’ve only ever edited toneprints on my iPad editor though - iPads have a power restriction on the lightning port so maybe a high powered USB port on a PC/Mac would work...? Owen
Sadly no mac to USB power magic
CameronJ
Seems like a manufacturing error that there’s enough clearance on the spectracomp but not the HOF Mini...they’re the same chassis just in a different colour! Is yours the full size HOF or the mini?
Owen
It's the HOF mini. Can zap stuff in off my phone but (unusually for me) I actually know what sound I want and want to edit it myself. Pretty frustrating it is.
Owen
It looks like TC have come up with an answer. Butcher your USB lead with a Stanley knife. https://www.dropbox.com/s/8u7rrnieqkn491i/Modding the USB connector for the HOF mini FAQ.pdf?dl=0 Hmmmmmmm......... Owen
It is brutal but effective.
elephantgrey
I really wish the toneprint app had the full editor, maybe then I'd actually use the thing.
