mouthman
Right, okay, I'm not sure if it's just me, but I really can't stand the combo's Marshall do :/ I shouldn't really be doing this, as I've only played 3, but I really don't like the sound of them. The MB4210 in particular. No matter what I plug into it, it sounds horrible. From the cheapest of basses, to a Fender Jazz. Is it just me? Or are there others of you which don't like with the same passion as I XD
dangerboy
Marshall bass amps (combos and the rest) are on my nightmare kitshare list. If I turn up to a gig and see a Marshall my spirits sink. Through most amps I sound like driving an SUV through the window of Harrods. Through a Marshall I sound like a sheep trapped inside another sheep. Beedster
OK, not strictly on topic, but I had a Marshall 115 cab and so regret selling it. My Precision sounded sooooo sweet with a TE driving that cab. No other cab I tried came close to the tone. Sold it for £50 to 'upgrade' to a better cab...... Finbar
The VBA400 is a good'un, and I wouldn;t mind giving that Lemmy sig head a bash. Not combos though.
MacDaddy
I've always found them a bit wooly, or muffled.

coasterbass
To me they always sounded like amps where the designers had gone "hmmmm, we make guitar amps that people love, lets just put a bigger speaker in it and remove the second channel... then its a bass amp".
