Desktop Multipurpose Amp

Hi all,

So here's the quandry. I currently do not have space in my room for both a bass amp and a guitar amp, but need both. I also want to put a desk in the room somewhere to work from while I am at uni. This leaves me with basically no space.

So, does anyone know of any amps small enough to sit on or under a desk that sound decent enough to practice at home with using either/both a guitar and bass?

Also, being a student, the cheaper the better.

Check out the Yamaha THR10.

Plus one for the THR10. Put it on the floor if you play bass through it, and it will be shockingly loud and bass. Honks like a mutha!

Check the Ashdown b-social. It’s wireless, so saves cable clutter and you can use bass and guitar at the same time if you wish  I also use mine as a stereo and stream music from iTunes, Spotify and phone. And audio when watching a film on my laptop. It’s ideal for a small space.

Another +1 for the Yamaha THR10. It has guitar and bass amp models built in, a handful of nice effects, an aux input, headphone output and also works as an audio interface for recording. It looks great too.

Another vote for the Yamaha. Don't know how it compares to other offerings, but it works well enough for me.

You should be able to get one for around the £200 mark, +/- a tenner or two.

There are a few on eBay and gumtree for reasonable prices at the moment.

Look at the Blackstar BEAM, guitar and bass practice combo.  Love mine, decent size and sound options.
