tredders
Half priced D'Angelico EX 4 strings at Thomann - £620 instead of over £1200.... seems like a decent deal, and they get very good reviews. I was tempted by one of these myself, but know it'll end up unused... https://m.thomann.de/gb/dangelico_excel_hollow_body_bass_grey_bk.htm?o=3&search=1520114368 Various colours available too, and they even come with a decent hard case Hopefully of use to someone... casapete
Mmmm, not seen one of these before. Looks a bit like an Ibanez AGB200 with a fancy headstock?

It's not a modern sounding five string with a wood finish as I am looking for... But it's sooooo tempting!
tredders
Why do I keep going back and looking at those things? Having owned a Jack Casady (twice!) and an AGB200, and never got much use out of them, I shouldn’t even be considering it... But the block inlays look great, they do some cool colours and they sound so good on the YouTube clips... 😃

TheGreek
I had a Jack Casady - great to look at but as a Bass it really doesn't cut it for me.... If I was going to get another Semi acoustic, I'd get a Chowny.
