Thomann - delivery times

I've just ordered a pedal from Thomann and I was wondering how long they take to deliver to the UK. I've never used them before but I know they are a popular supplier and I had literally no choice (the pedal was on back order even from the manufacturer but Thomann had a single one left in stock). As fate would have it, a band I'm interested in have contacted me about needing a new bass player and I'm hoping to be able to have my new board ready by the weekend...

Sometimes they're surprisingly fast, ive had a large head delivered in 3 days, i dont think iv ever waited more than week.

The 4 or 5 orders I've had from Thomann have been delivered in 3-4 days.

The orders have ranged from knobs and a switch to a 5 string bass

Cool. Sounds promising. It was definitely a case of 'buy now' or wait for another production run, but it's good to know they are usually quick too.

It took 8 days to get a bass I ordered a couple of weeks before Christmas, but a packet of flatwounds I ordered at the same time got to me in under 48hrs.

Everything I've ever ordered from them has taken exactly a week from the day I ordered it.

Three to five days usually. I’ve had lots of stuff off them over the years.

My Upright bass was the longest, about 8 days but they did a set up too. The smaller items tend to be a few days and never more than a week.

I bought one of their own brand tweed cases which arrived within 3 days - arrived well packaged too.

Once my new Double Bass was actually made it took them 2 days to get it here.  Better than most UK companies.

I placed my first order with Thomann early on Monday, it’s now Wednesday and although I’ve had a confirmation email they haven’t taken payment or dispatched the item yet. The item is in stock so I’m surprised that they didn’t take payment and process the order on Monday when I placed it. It’s no big deal, I’m in no particular hurry and I understand the item is coming from overseas. I just wondered if this is usual for Thomann before I contact them to see if there’s a problem?

Before they would just ship the boxes out and deal with any QC issues after delivery. This year they have started doing checks before shipping, imagine that's the cause for the delay.

The first of May is a holiday in most of Europe, hence the delay. I ordered some items from Thomann on Wednesday last week and they all arrived on Friday.
